Wanted to share my update too. I’m currently in my hometown Split working on a project, an experiment called “Voids2020”. We opened a few closed spaces during winter in the historical center and gave them to artists and the community to use them temporarily…my current office is in a souvenir shop, right in front of the (closed) Game of Thrones museum. It feels super strange and very fun at the same time!

Yes, they filmed shortly there and now it’s crazy, “museums” and gift shops all over the place. But I guess not even the GOT fans come in winter.

Here’s my update too. I’m currently traveling through Belem, in the northern region of Brazil (beyond the wall, where it is actually winter =P), visiting beautiful places and meeting amazing people!

During my “trip breaks” I’ve been exploring some interesting online tools that are supposed to help us organize our web browsing/researching. I imagine some of the people connected here might enjoy them:
- Memex by WorldBrain: interesting company values and functioning product.
- Veeo: Very cool concept. Currently being built (video demo avail). And amazing founders. I had a chat with them last week and they were super welcoming!

Well, not exactly. It’s only the engineering physics chapter of the student union that has decided not to renew a small 2000 EUR per year advertising deal with McKinsey on humanitarian grounds, but it’s a good move from their side non the less. This is really only newsworthy because the KTH student union and its chapters are known from being quite apolitical, so this is a refreshing departure.

yes I saw. I think the only time we ( my batch of students) experienced outrighr proximity to political activism was in the whole signal surveillance and pirate bay + copyleft “debate”.

On another note, I’m preparing to go on 2 trips (Berlin and Indonesia) amidst all the coronavirus panic and early cases sprung out in these areas too.
It’s unsettling, but it would also be irrational to cancel and lock oneself in the house, no?
How are people dealing with this?
hand sanitiser. carry it everywhere and apply it ever couple of minutes. disinfect anything you touch even stuff like bottles or cutlery ( carry your own)Avoid crowds.

i would not travel to indonesia though.
too far away/ messy if you get stuck due to travel restrictions or quarantine
