Over the past few years, Armenian grass roots activisms has seen a tremendous increase! Why is this the case? Why is this not happening in Georgia? Maybe, because Georgia’s government is more democratic? But, what about countries such as Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, etc? Any thoughts?

It is a long shot probably, but I would connect this to the historic tradition of political activism in Armenian diaspora. In my opinion, politically mobilized diaspora that takes a strong transborder Armenian stance inspires and influences grassroot movements. Not only by giving an example of a “group” but also by more down-to-earth approaches, such as funding or even particular programs such as “Birh Right Armenia” or “Armenian Volunteer Corps”.
