If that is a concern, then the “three choices, simultaneous” poll is not a good tool. Better to do ranking. For example, in the case of someone wanting a 2-bedroom, list ALL of the 2-bedroom units in The Reef, in order of preference.
The solution then becomes: order households by date of joining, early joiner first. Then go through the list, and assign to each household their preferred unit among those that have not been chosen before.
For example, in my case, the response would look like this:
Alberto, 1 bedroom. O1, O3, I1, O6, O9
@Sarah, could this be an option?
We could also do the exercise in person.
i had a chat with Odile and she is no longer blocked, she filled in the survey in the meantime…
@Lee , as mentioned before, the architects still need to see if ‘making the 3 bedroom appartment’ on level 3 of Obelix is possible (in order to keep the 2 bedroom and studio smaller, on that same level).
If that wouldn’t be possible, does that mean you would go for your second option?
Based on the conversation I had with François I want to build on the assumption that they will make it possible.
I’m thinking that we will more or less know which units have the biggest probably of being taken. For the 2 bedrooms for instance, we more or less all want the same units, and we know which 2 bedroom will be left over. I imagine that it will more or less be the same for most unit sizes, and that we can say we are relatively confident that unit X and Y will be free, and possibly Z as well but that remains to be confirmed. Something like that…
Yes, that might have beeen a better way to do it.
I gather it’s not necessary anymore though now that Odile and Els talked. Right?
hi @reef-full @joannes ,
This message is mainly for those that were not in last sunday’s PM (05/01):
You have up to January 25th 8:00 am to still make changes to your ‘choice of your unit’. This is the final round, unless things (drastically) change on budget level (in the negative sense) or if the commune asks for changes to the plans, impacting one or more units.
So if you still want to go and see the architects for questions related to your choice of unit, see the bank (or …) , this is the time to do so.
Hi @els,
I’m a bit surprised that the deadline is so late. I was hoping that we could conclude on a pre-final attribution at the plenary of the 25th, so if it’s possible for people to change their minds until the day itself, then I don’t see how we can still find the time to do have some informal chats in between to see whether we can find an arrangement to works for everybody.
Is there something I’m not seeing?
I asked for a deadline in the PM of 05/01, because clarity is needed for people to know by when at the latest they need to change their choice if they want to.
I noted down it was 25/01. Maria also shared on ER that she understood it was 25/01.
I asked a confirmation of that on ER (see post), seeing a conflict with the presentation if it moved earlier than the 29/01. Got a confirmation of Alberto that it stayed the 29/01.
No reaction to that, so I do not understand that this is now not acceptable and we would want another date.
PS informal chats should have started
@Lee Proposition.
Coming plenary should bring some more info (price of options, final plans (still to be validated by the architects after the pm of 15/01), location of buanderie,…)
TB asks all full members to update the choice of units (if needed) within the 2 days following the PM of 15/01 (so 17/01).
This info is shared with the group (let’s say 18/01). (or TB shares the survey with all FM)
Informal chats can start /continue.
The people still having doubts (still waiting for a meeting with the architects, waiting for info from the architects, still need to see the bank, change of thought because of the results shared of the above survey) share that with TB/the group and as soon as they have clarity on their final decision they again update their choice via the survey + communicate that to TB/the group (without waiting this final date of the 25/01).
At each change of the survey: TB personally contacts those members directly impacted by the change. e.g.
25/01 stays the absolute final date to communicate your choice of unit
Does that work?
Yes, that works. Thanks a lot for working that out.
I do not wish to change my choice. Do I need to do anything?
nothing to do any more, good to know for TB.
O1 and A4 sold!
@Lee @Hannah @Jeroen : confirmation of the architects that it is possible to move the walls on level 3 of Obelix.
So for Hannah/Jeroen: the 3 bedroom will become more or less 127 m2
Thanks @els ! That would mean we want to change our priorities for choice of units: I6 still first choice, but now O8 as second choice and 05 as third choice.
It seems that in the overview excel I6 has been mistakenly named I5 (following link Login – Nextcloud )
Let me know if we should indicate this change in any document ourselves.
As I just spent 15 minutes looking for the file, I took the liberty to rename it “price calculator January 2025”. I am updating the onboarding documents, and I need a system that allows newlings to use the search function to find the latest file. Hope this works and happy to discuss.
I also copied the file with the weighting and the surfaces to the same folder, so that we have everything together.
This file is an archive actually. It looks like there has been trouble with the folder, because I can’t see the current file anymore. @els - did you save a hard copy ??
I renamed the folder, but it still works (it worked yesterday evening at least).
Try to navigate Nextcloud > Team Building > Plans > Proposition 1 (or whatever) > Price calculator January 2025.
@Hannah
don’t worry about the I6 being named I5. There will be an update possible to fill in your choice of unit (and TB knows you are not interested in I5)
fyi, and sorry to spoil it a bit for you: in the current prefinal plans that are on the table for consent (on the PM of 15/01), the 3 bedroom on the third floor of Obelix is now kept at 118 m2 (solution to keep me in)
