Commitments of Intent

In recent weeks, [Ndelo Peter] and [Gracia] have been reaching out to Life in Africa’s allies around the world with a request for  Commitments of intent to plan in-country activities at the new Family Transition Center in Kitgum, Uganda sometime in the next 2 years.

Such activities would be designed to help make the Family Transition Center a focal point of knowledge, services and support activities that can serve both Life in Africa’s members and the community surrounding the center, who are all transitioning into re-building a post-war rural life. Life in Africa cannot offer funding for your involvement in the context of our crowdfunding campaign for building the center, but would be thrilled to work with you to help communicate with your potential funders and gather the kind of targeted community that would most benefit from your intention. Of course we would also host you (possibly camping?) for short visits or longer stays at the Center.

If you’d like to imagine a part for yourself or your organization in making the Family Transition Center a learning/doing/social family hub sometime between July 2014- July 2016, we’d love to include a mention of your intention, and link to your org in the project description on our start-up crowdfunding campaign.

As you’ll see, the co-created potential impact of our inputs is shaping into a beautiful narrative for what the (hopefully) soon-to-be Family Transition Center can become.

Add your intention to the list below.

Click “Edit” near the top left of this screen. Scroll down and use the same format to briefly describe in 3-4 lines your commitment of intent in working with the Family Transition Center. We will only hold you to the commitment if indeed we manage to crowdfund enough to build it by this July.
