Hello everyone, as end of May is approaching we are about to reach an important milestone in the Op3nCare Fellowships Program: we will reward some of the most promising stories of community led care on June 1st, and show some love to community members who have put in time to write down their experience.
At this initial stage, 250 EUR fees will reward written contributions that are already full fledged stories or less edited ideas with potential to be developed into longer posts (this is to be agreed on a case by case basis). Fellows will also be asked to make themselves available to their peers here online. Their posts will be shared with the world, and they will be invited to present their work at the final OpenCare event in 2017.
As of today, there are 40+ stories and 156 comments/ reactions to them adding insights and consistency to our conversation on care.
- 33 stories on How do you give and receive care? challenge (the more straightforward & general)
- 4 stories on People on the Move challenge
- 4 pieces on emotional health (yet unofficial) challenge
We come from Italy, Germany, Benin, Belgium, Sweden, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Armenia, and more countries. Meet some of the community members here and say hello!
If you would like to submit your own story, post it as a response to any one of the Op3nCare challenges and it will be counted in for the selection (more info). Note that you don’t have to be an expert or work in the medical or social care field in order to become a Fellow, but simply be willing to share your own personal, honest experience as a provider or receiver of care. Submit these next few days and you’re in time to be counted in for June 1st!
Still in doubt, or got suggestions? Tune in on today (Monday) at 4:30 pm CET for our weekly community call!
