Could you open it for access? Right now it says I do not have access rights.

I posted the wrong link initially (changed it almost immediately but you’re faster than lightning…), can you try again?

Still the wrong link…

Sorry, the problem was that I needed to change the authorization for the people filling in the form. It’s working now.

In a different post (Plenary meeting 16 December 2024 - #20 by els) the question was asked how final this choice of unit is.

My personal take on this is that this is now a request to make your final choice. Of course there may still be changes to the plan or to your personal situation, but at some point we need to go down the funnel of starting to fix things, and that moment in my view is starting now.

I can agree with “starting now”; but not to “this specific survey and the discussion on the 5th is final”.

Personnally, Chris and I are still ironing out some details (there’s constantly new information, it’s been a never-ending process for over a year). It’s coming to a close, but we’re not ready to make a final decision on the 5th (especially as the plan seemed to be making a final choice just before the permit); happy for a firm exploration though, and commiting to having a final choice soon.

And as I said in that other post, I really believe that it’s acceptable that exploring members would be faced with a minimum amount of uncertainty (and again, a minimum one as we are narrowing things down quite a lot anyway, and it’s getting relatively clear what would be left). It shouldn’t block the process of onboarding, at least not the next step of getting geared towards a presentation.

100%. And people to the front of the queue can do more than others, as our choices stabilize the picture for everyone else.

Agree on the principle, but struggle to operationalize it. What is a minimum degree of uncertainty? +/- 10 m3 on a unit that works for you, sure. “Either this unit or that unit is available” could also work, if the unit price is similar. What do you have in mind?

Thank you so much to all the members of Reef-building for all the work done  !

Personally, I can’t choose my apartment until I know what’s still available. As I am almost the last to become a permanent member of the Reef, my choice will depend on what is left once all the other members have chosen their apartment. Last time, I didn’t have any of my choices so I prefer to wait to know which apartments are still available and I would like to discuss this with the architects before making a choice. Thank you for your understanding

I’m wishing you all a very pleasant New Year celebration :clinking_glasses:  :confetti_ball: . May your heart be light, your days be bright, and your year be just right! Let’s make 2025 amazing! Happy New Year! :tada:

hi @Odile

This is the case for many people I am afraid e.g. 6 2-bedroom units available and 5 full members going for a 2 bedroom.

With the one bedrooms, this is less problematic 5 1-bedrooms for 3 full members, so if you give your top 3 choice and you stick with a 1 bedroom unit, you should have at least one of these units.
And if you would go for another type of unit and you wouldn’t have any of your 3 priorities, than TB will come back to you after everybody having filled in the survey

As requested in this post, the goal was to see the architects before December 20th if you had questions impacting the choice of your unit. The architects are now on holiday till January 6th. If TB can help you in the meantime with any of your questions, let us know…

Dag marcel, een tweede ronde , rond de keuze van je appartement.
In de post van Sarah, vind je de link naar de survey en wat extra info.

Aarzel niet mocht je vragen hebben…

If that is a concern, then the “three choices, simultaneous” poll is not a good tool. Better to do ranking. For example, in the case of someone wanting a 2-bedroom, list ALL of the 2-bedroom units in The Reef, in order of preference.

The solution then becomes: order households by date of joining, early joiner first. Then go through the list, and assign to each household their preferred unit among those that have not been chosen before.

For example, in my case, the response would look like this:

Alberto, 1 bedroom. O1, O3, I1, O6, O9

@Sarah, could this be an option?

We could also do the exercise in person.

i had a chat with Odile and she is no longer blocked, she filled in the survey in the meantime…

@Lee , as mentioned before, the architects still need to see if ‘making the 3 bedroom appartment’ on level 3 of Obelix is possible (in order to keep the 2 bedroom and studio smaller, on that same level).

If that wouldn’t be possible, does that mean you would go for your second option?

Based on the conversation I had with François I want to build on the assumption that they will make it possible.

I’m thinking that we will more or less know which units have the biggest probably of being taken. For the 2 bedrooms for instance, we more or less all want the same units, and we know which 2 bedroom will be left over. I imagine that it will more or less be the same for most unit sizes, and that we can say we are relatively confident that unit X and Y will be free, and possibly Z as well but that remains to be confirmed. Something like that…

Yes, that might have beeen a better way to do it.
I gather it’s not necessary anymore though now that Odile and Els talked. Right?

hi @reef-full @joannes ,

This message is mainly for those that were not in last sunday’s PM (05/01):

You have up to January 25th 8:00 am to still make changes to your ‘choice of your unit’. This is the final round, unless things (drastically) change on budget level (in the negative sense) or if the commune asks for changes to the plans, impacting one or more units.

So if you still want to go and see the architects for questions related to your choice of unit, see the bank (or …) , this is the time to do so.

Hi @els,

I’m a bit surprised that the deadline is so late. I was hoping that we could conclude on a pre-final attribution at the plenary of the 25th, so if it’s possible for people to change their minds until the day itself, then I don’t see how we can still find the time to do have some informal chats in between to see whether we can find an arrangement to works for everybody.

Is there something I’m not seeing?

I asked for a deadline in the PM of 05/01, because clarity is needed for people to know by when at the latest they need to change their choice if they want to.

I noted down it was 25/01. Maria also shared on ER that she understood it was 25/01.

I asked a confirmation of that on ER (see post), seeing a conflict with the presentation if it moved earlier than the 29/01. Got a confirmation of Alberto that it stayed the 29/01.

No reaction to that, so I do not understand that this is now not acceptable and we would want another date.

PS informal chats should have started
