Witnesspedia This is the shared workspace of our effort to co-create an open source fictional world, to serve as the backdrop for science fiction/fantasy novels, films, or games. This world is different from other fictional worlds, in that it pays a lot of attention to its economies, and makes its economies radically different from the one we live in (read more). We imagine it as a sort of Wikipedia, but for the fictional city of Witness. It contains “Witnesspedia articles” about various features of Witness: geography, history, economy, institutions and so on. It contains: Wikis to describe the world. Discussion topics for the debate on how to build it. Witness Stories To explore and build on the ideas that come out of Witness, our community of writers contribute stories about the city and its distrikts. What makes Witness such a rich and fascinating sci-fi world is that it is truly open source, and we want as many storytellers and artists as possible to help build it. It hosts the meta-level discussion about the project of building Witness: how we should organize and so on. There is an wiki (collaboratively editable online document), called Witnesspedia - it contains the entries themselves and the discussions around individual entries.
